A physicist who made a gamma ray bomb. It was stolen and he tried to get it back. He was caught then sent to jail. Met the wrecker and gained his powers. They joined together to form the Wrecking Crew along with Piledriver and Bulldozer.
Origin
The wrecker told thunderball and other members of the wrecking crew to hold the crowbar during a lightning storm. A lightning bolt hit the crowbar, distributing the crowbar among the four of them. Thunderball was also part of the villains assembled by the beyonder during secret wars. Thunderballs Real identity is Dr. Eliot Franklin a Physicist with a Ph.D in physics, who possesses a Genius level I.Q. His genius is made apparent by the fact that he created the Gamma ray bomb, something that Dr. Bruce Bannner was unable to do. He also later miniaturized the Gamma ray bombPowers
