@haveatthee: Loki took Odin spot so that wouldn't work . I want to do something more godly & include the other gods from marvel . So Gorr may be good so we can see Thor really cutting loose & see the different Thor's . Or someone so we can get introduced to the other pathogens & Hercules & the godheads so we don't just see Thor as some damn imposter alien . & then maybe can lead Thor next movie into like a chaos war movie or something more godly .

So you're saying because Loki is impersonating Odin that Odin should just be helpless? We're taking about the All-Father here and one who's more powerful than his own sons.

Besides, you wont see Thor "cut loose" in the movie. The most impressive scenes of Thor action were the Jotunheim battle and the Destroyer fight (that was way too short). Marvel does not care about showcasing more of Thor's power anyway. The most I can see Thor do is maybe call down some type of incredible lightning storm if the situation calls for it. I've sort of given up on the MCU Thor anyway, as The Dark World massively buried him.

I found my own answer as to which villains I would like in the next Thor movie. ;-)

Surtur would be a solid choice. Gorr could work, too. It was a fairly standalone arc, but I worry it'd be a bit too graphic for Marvel to pick this early on.

@haveatthee: no we're not talking about the all-father we're talking about some alien from a different planet that saved some humans a couple years back this the MCU version lol . What I saying is probably won't see the real Odin again until possibly the end of the next movie cause Loki is impersonating him . You know how marvel does their movies they severely weaken their less important characters & empower their more popular . & yeah they won't let Thor cut loose I don't even see him calling a huge storm I just wish they would let him . They down play him so much cause of the religious bs

I really don't like Thor.. and hope that it will be the Jörmungandr - The Midgard Serpent... in they origin final battle :D

The first one, albeit short, was solid. Thor at least had a character arc. The second film sucked hard. Odin did literally nothing, Thor was acting like a wimp all movie. The action scenes were edited and choreographed horribly and worst of all, Loki was the only one who had any kind of character arc in the film. I guess we'll agree to disagree but I thought Dark World really sucked for Thor the character. In fact I think Marvel probably wants to ditch the Asgardian side of the MCU in favor of a more conventional cosmic corner like Guardians of the Galaxy (especially if Guardians does well in theaters).

Surtur would be my main choice by far But I would love to see Desak adapted to the big screen, Plus he's enogh of a power house to make it an appropriate baddie for the end of the trilogy.

@uugieboogie: I could see them introducing them really quick if they really wanted to rush it. But yeah, it's a bit too early. Thor's like the only big god aside from Odin and Loki in the MCU.

the wrecking crew. Even if they made like a rhino appearance like they did with rhino in ASM 2 but a little more meaningful i'd be fine with it. they'd have THOR battle the wrecking crew in the beginning of the movie.

I really want to see Enchantress. Surtur could be the main villain or at least the opponent for the final fight, but mostly I just really want her in the film.

@haveatthee: well I don't think marvel will ditch the whole Asgardian side because they have already made Thor a corner stone of their universe, so to ditch the Asgardian element but keep thor would be dumb. Though I do see them (as made more evident by Thor 2) makeing the Asgardians a more Magic/Science blend, witch isn't a bad thing. Also Odin didn't really do much of anything in Thor 1 and Thor 2 encaustic if we where going to have Odin kick some ass he would have his own movie. Thor 2 did have have some problem like TOO MUCH Jane Foster, Darcy and Darcys intern. I would have liked it if Jane died, call me morbid but by this time Sif and Thir should be on the whole path to romance. Now we get to the biggest let down Malikith, he did have screen time but not a lot witch is a shame because he was an awesome villian. Thor 2 was a good movie and for me is the best Marvel Solo film next of course to the brilliant winter solider.

@z3ro180: An Odin prequel movie would be pretty awesome. Might explain the MCU timeline for Thor a little better. I'm not to familiar with his comic so maybe it's explained there, but I wasn't really sure if Thor was supposed to be the same Thor from mythology. In the movies it sounded like Odin had been to Earth in ancient time, but Thor seemed relatively young and had never actually been to Earth till modern time. I guess maybe he had been there some and time just runs kinda differently on Asgard.

@muffin_sangria: yeah asgardians age much slower than humans . In the movie case they live for about 5,000 years . But in the comics they've been seen to live longer .

@_zombie_: idk if they will , they don't even depict them as being gods really , they show them as aliens . I really hope they fix that .

@uugieboogie: It still seemed implied to me that Thor had never actually come to earth before the first movie even though the mythology for him already existed. The same with Loki having just learned that was part ice giant when that had already been part of the mythology that existed on earth.
