The mightiest and the most beloved warrior in all of Asgard, a staunch ally for good and one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse/omniverse. Thor is also a founding member of the Avengers.
Heard someone over at the battles forum said Thor defeated the Asgardian Destroyer. I'm curious when was this? And did he had the Odinforce at the time?
Yes, It was indeed in the most recent Thor #5. It took several panels I think cause it hit him around a bit. Turns out someone was in there =] He also beat it when *spoilers*
Doom created one himself and sicked it on Thor. I think he reverse engineered the original and added some mods, forgot some of it.
Most recent? Hapend almost two years ago, not really that recent. He also fought the Destroyer occupied by a human then in his first issue relaunch after heroe's return. The Destroyer destroyed Thor, some bargaining was done with Hela in her domain, he was sent back and bfr'd the Destroyer.
in the distant past the only way thor was able to beat the destroyer was to bring the body of the person possesing the armor to the destroyer. in simonsons run her defeated the essance of the destroyer and took control of the armor. odin has stepped in from time to time to make the spirit animating the armor leave and go back into its own body. as far as a smack down drag out fight, thor at normal power levels hasn't actually beat the armor.
