'Thor: The Dark World' Teaser Trailer
VERILY! The movie looks awesome. I like that they are finding a place for Kat Dennings character, even if she is just in it for 5 minutes.. it shall suffice. Also cool to see the Sif-Thor-Jane love triangle reflected in the trailer.
Any word on the possibility of Enchantress and Executioner being in this movie? Even just as a cameo or something that would be cool.
Yeah basically the same. They love Tom Hiddleston so they love Loki. Nothing against Hiddelston, but I just don't see the appeal. Loki on the other hand, I personally dislike. I thought he was a pretty annoying villain.
The movie version? I quite liked Hiddlestons' depiction of Loki. It was quite a fresh yet familiar take on the character. Not as deep as the comic book version though but this trailer is showing that he's getting there.

I have to say though, the Loki fangirls are the most annoying thing on the planet.
So true. So very very true.
I like Loki but not because of Hiddleston (his portrayal is very good) but because of the character even before the movie.
I love how people are saying it looks better than the first one after the first teaser trailer. It is a minute and a half of strategically edited video. You could make just about any movie look good if you only show 5 second scenes before dramatic cuts with ominous music.
Well the visuals and dialogue give a better feel because we're not dealing with an origin story no more. We might actually get some surprises with this one. The fact a former villain returns as an unlikely ally already makes this one more interesting than the first movie.

Definitely. Just about any movie looks good when you watch a trailer because that's what a trailer is designed to do.
On topic though, this looks good. Thor has been the most fun out of all of the Avengers stuff so far, so I'm looking forward to this.

Yeah, I just couldn't get into movie Loki. I thought he was too flat and didn't really give me a reason to feel like he was a threat or well motivated. Was it revenge against Thor or general lust for chaos or control? I don't know, maybe it's just me, I'm not trying to bash Loki but I just couldn't get into his movie interpretation.

I liked comic book Loki but I was disappointed in his movie version. I personally just didn't think he was that compelling. But that's just me.
Kinda messy and confusing. Also, who wants a bet either Sif, Jane or Thor's mom bites the dust?
dude...
By Odin's beard...this looks fantastic. 2013 will be quite the year for comic-related movies (Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, Wolverine, and Thor: The Dark World).
This looks amazing. I am more exited for this than I was for Avengers, ASM, DKR and IM3 and that says something. Cant wait, but one thing am I the only one who noticed that the Bifrost has been rebuilt.
Same symbol it made in Thor.
@mbecks14: Ofcourse! It won't be Thoribble. I'm so excited!!!
I kind of expected to write this movie off after the first one, but it looks like it could be pretty fun. If nothing else, it seems like it'll have more big action sequences. Hopefully it fares better as a movie by itself instead of just acting like a lead in into the next Avengers movie like the first one did.
No inception wahhhhhhhm noise in an epic movie trailer...thank god they're getting away from that finally.
I don't.... did I see a different trailer than the rest of the you? that was nothing. Iron Man 3's first trailer blew me away, and Man of Steel as well, but this? tame by any standard.
I love the not "if" but "when" you betray me part ... film's looking good. Very awesome year to be a comic book fan.
@cap10nate: well i say it looks better because: there are scenes here that were not in the first movie, it takes place on asgard which is what i wanted in a thor movie in the first place, and i've been reading pretty much everything about this movie since it they began production so excited for stuff and people that they didnt show. a movie with thor on asgard trumps a movie with thor on earth anyday.
personally i was disappointed with the first thor movie, hated the trailer cause it made the movie look so cheap showing him earthbound and powerless versus him slaying giants and so forth. still went in hoping for the best but seriously didnt care for any of the scenes outside of asgard. loki was definitely that movie's saving grace but overall it was a bore. in this film thor looks thored up!!! and did his hammer get bigger lol? a couple of scenes stood out to me: Frigg with a knife looking menacing at someone and Jane on a glowing slab. i wonder if they are "healing" her after the attack by Malekeith and maybe share a little asgardian power with her to save her life
This doesn't do it after that awesome Man Of Steel trailer. Still will watch it.
Teaser for a movie that won't see the light of day for seven months VS a trailer for a film that will be out in less than two months. MOS teaser consisted of nothing more than announcing Nolan was involved in it and showing Superman fly, this is fair to say a lot better.
SO MANY AWESOME MOVIES COMEING OUT THIS YEAR :D
Ditto. Great year for comic fans / cinematic hero fans alike.
Well that just beat the crap out of Man of Steel.
..umm,i don't think so.
however it looks really god and i will see this for sure.
Yep. In my opinion, this movie will be better. But I will save my final opinion when I see them. But this is coming from the guy who thinks Man of Steel won't be that good.
Yesterday we saw a couple new images for Thor: The Dark World. Today is the day the first teaser trailer is released and it came in the early hours of the morning. If you haven't checked it out, it is an iTunes exclusive video which you can see HERE.
But you prefer, Marvel UK has also released the trailer. It's pretty much the same exact trailer only says "October" instead of "This Fall." Check it out if you haven't already watched it several times.
Looks pretty good for a teaser trailer. Definitely will have a more epic feel than the first movie, which I did enjoy.
Thor: The Dark World opens in theaters (in the U.S.) on November 8.
Edit
novi_homines also posted this on the forums. There are some comments there as well if your curious what people have already said.
Thanks for the credit!! Very noble of you.
In all honesty, as far as teaser trailers go, I think this is the best teaser trailer in comic book movie history. Its nearly on par with Man of Steel's 3rd trailer, which revealed major parts of its movie. Visually, it looks like a mix between TDK and Game of Thrones. This movie has the look of being legendary. Game of Thrones director is taking this series to new heights...
Well, this movie definitely has more action, suspense intrigue etc, which is to be expected. Now that the basics have been explained, time to turn things up a notch. Less Midgard. More of the other 9 Realms.
So what are the chances that SIF will help Loki in his inevitable double cross? If the plan involves taking Jane out of the picture (without killing her....maybe) and having Thor to herself.
I didn't really like the first Thor. In fact, in my honest opinion, I think the first film was the weakest from Marvel's phase 1.... But this... Woohh boy... This looks so damn good.
This doesn't do it after that awesome Man Of Steel trailer. Still will watch it.
Well it's the first teaser. I think it's better than the first MOS teaser (the one from TDKR not the badass ComiCon one)...
