IMO the god killer is Thor

I can't wait for the final issue to come out. I must know what happens! This, so far, is my favorite new book of Marvel NOW.

#5 Posted by TheCannon (14192 posts) - 4 months, 7 days ago - Show Bio

I can't wait for part five. This is easily the greatest thing Marvel has going (that I've read. I refuse to read Any Avengers or X titles, and my comic store doesn't have Journey Into Mystery. Which sucks). It has been awesome in very way, and I'm sad this story will end next issue.

Iron maiden T-shirt waiting to happen!
I want an one eyed, one armed, old Thor on going title. I love that guy! Old Thor doesn't give a....... He'll be getting drunk on paint thinner, and throwing lightning bolts at special needs kids. That crazy old kook is going to rape your mailbox, and there is nothing you can do about it, Because he's crazy, one eyed, one armed, old Thor, and Asgard got no nursing homes!!!!!

I was afraid to read it at first but the TGOT is a great read, its an interesting look at the Gods and putting them on a more mortal scale with them being afraid and the scene with Thor begging for death really got me into it. I can't wait to see what happened in that cave that pushed Gorr to do what he's doing.

This story line is epic, definitely befitting the God of Thunder! I love seeing Thor at different stages in his life.

Young Thor with the vikings is great, and it's interesting to see a more vulnerable side of him. Current Thor is noble and awesome. Old King Thor is just a badass.

#11 Posted by Pyrogram (10844 posts) - 4 months, 7 days ago - Show Bio

@Walker696: Yer, what thor wanted to die it was really powerful, when he called his hammer and said " for Asgard" and just slumped onto his knees. :(

Young Thor gets tortured lol, Modern Thor batters everything, Old Thor wants to die... Damn Thor has a hard life in the end lol

Haha yeh, the life of a god. I find it interesting to see him in these positions, it really brings out his character and depth to his personality.

@Selinaky: Defiantly , Especially since he answered a prayer - he has never done that before.

#15 Posted by Selinaky (666 posts) - 4 months, 7 days ago - Show Bio

I really like that they have focused solely on Thor so far, without Odin, Loki etc. I hope the other Asgardians and such are introduced later on though.

I wonder is there/will there be a love interest for Thor at all?

#16 Posted by The_Lunact_And_Manic (2908 posts) - 4 months, 7 days ago - Show Bio

@Selinaky: I always thought it was Sif...

Only Odin knows how much the story has been twisted.

#17 Posted by Selinaky (666 posts) - 4 months, 7 days ago - Show Bio

@The_Lunact_And_Manic:

It usually is, but I wasn't sure if it was still the case. I hope it is though, I like Sif and Thor.

Are they trying to make Gorr the new arch nemisis of Thor? If they are then it is a really good decision.

I loved it.

I loved the talk between future and past Thor! He called him Dumb made me LOL,

, The art was wicked, what did you think of it?

#43 Posted by TheCannon (14192 posts) - 3 months, 2 hours ago - Show Bio

I was looking for this thread. Must of missed it.

Anyway, am I the only one who though #5 was the best issue so far? I loved it.

#44 Posted by Selinaky (666 posts) - 3 months, 2 hours ago - Show Bio

@Pyrogram: Haha, yeh I liked that part too. Loved this issue, especially the scene with the vikings. Gorr is a badass villain, I'm looking forward to his origin next issue.

And damn, I love that artwork!

How strong do you think Gor is? Like, he is a god killer, I wonder if he could beat somebody like..Hulk?

#46 Posted by SC (9851 posts) - 3 months, 2 hours ago - Show Bio

Am amazed that each issue continues to expand and build on the momentum garnered from pervious issues. I am continuing to enjoy and be fascinated by Gorr and happy with how Thor is characterized and portrayed. Love the part where Gorr traveled to the past and his plan. Just very cool and epic issue.

#47 Posted by The_Lunact_And_Manic (2908 posts) - 3 months, 1 hour ago - Show Bio

I loved the new issue, now I need to read the next one.

Hm need to see more of Gorr's power really, but considering he's killed a lot extremely powerful beings, I think he'd have a fair shot at beating the Hulk.

#49 Posted by ThePhoenX (115 posts) - 2 months, 29 days ago - Show Bio

@Selinaky: I haven't read it yet. It's weird because, it's not "the Thor I usually like", but I really enjoy

God Of Thunder! XD

@Pyrogram: No, because The Hulk is the spoiled brat of Marvel He's the stronger there is....

And for Marvel's writers, the stronger is the better fighter. From my point of view, it's like saying : the ones who can

bench press the most are the better fighters... It's totally absurd!!!

#50 Posted by Selinaky (666 posts) - 2 months, 29 days ago - Show Bio

@ThePhoenX: Ah, well it's a great issue! I'm curious - what kind of Thor do you usually like?
