The Wolverine may be in theaters right now but Marvel wants to make sure you remember there's a new Thor movie coming this November.

Thor: The Dark World lands in theaters on November 8. Check out the latest poster.

It might be your typical movie poster filled with a bunch of the actors and different scenes but you have to admit it has an epic feel. This will definitely be a different movie compared to the first.

Who else is excited for this?

Is it just me, or does Mjolnir seem a bit bigger than it has been in previous films?

I'm rather intrigued by Jane Foster wearing Asgardian clothing.

Looks badass.

Honestly, this movie just looks "meh" or mediocre to me or only above average. Not saying it's not gonna be good, but it doesn't look special or anything like that.

Hopefully Guardians of the Galaxy will have an epic poster like this.

Ugh I'm sorry but most of the MCU posters just have me cringing. Heimdall looks hilarious just floating in a cloud.

@jonsmith: Probably just a bad photoshop job.

Agreed. In the comics, did she ever go to Asgard, become a princess or something?

I am! Thor was, for me at least, the best of all the Marvel universe movies.

@rafa_lee: There's been talk that Sif and Jane are going to have a bit of a love triangle with Thor in this one, so I would definitely expect to see more of here.

I really will be if Daredevil is in it.

I love how people use the article about the announcement of one movie to bitch about a previous movie they didn't like... it's like

"Ehi, I made muffins!"

"Good, I puked when I ate cookies two months ago..."

#20 Posted by sagejonathan (1933 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm excited but I don't expect it to be THAT good.

#21 Posted by sentryman555 (765 posts) - - Show Bio

No mention of Eccleston on the poster!?

#22 Posted by tikhunt (676 posts) - - Show Bio

@muyjingo: I honestly have no idea she might have in the early classic Thor comics.

Sweet! I think the Thor posters have been pretty awesome thus far

And the more I read about the movie the more pumped I am for this one

Looks pretty sick. Nothing will go wrong if you liked the first Thor. I enjoyed the first one. not even gonna rate it... just a fun movie that I really like.

Thor 2 will definitely live up to that. No probs. Give us good sequences, good humor, good Loki, good Thor, and a good Asgard and you have 5 thors/5 thors

That's one fine looking poster. Really looking forward to the direction the Game of Thrones director is going to take Thor in for this sequel.

Ugh this Jane Forster angle...As if it isn't bad enough to suggest that some silly human caught in an explosion turning into a plot device "angrier I get the stronger I get" monster that can defeat a God of Thunder isn't bad enough, they have to go and suggest that some silly small town girl is superior to an Asgardian Godess to catch the favor of the Thunderer.

I so wished they didn't put Jane Forster in these Thor films... At least the scenes where she is in can be considered bathroom break in the cinema.

Beautiful poster.

May be irrevelant but Thor is right handed, and he is holding Mjolnir with his left hand. Wasn´t there a rumor of that in Comic Con, the trailer showed Loki cuting Thor hand? could it be...

I prefer more understated posters, but its ok I guess.

didn't he have a crush on her in the comics as well though? I mean it isn't wrong of them to put her in....if they left her out that just gives people more of a reason to get mad they aren't following even more of the source material. He was humbled by her, impressed by her, even though she was mortal her personality impressed him....seems like a pretty standard thing in stories...aladdin, the street rat get the princess. hercules, the human girl gets the demi god, cinderella, blah blah blah.

HEH :)

I like the way Loki looks.

If it's executed well, I could enjoy this interesting twist.

I really hope that the romance between Thor and Jane is improved. It was my one and only real gripe with Thor. Anywho, I am going to have trouble functioning in the days leading up to my seeing this movie.

No. She barely made any appearances in the 90's onward. I think they stopped using her as Thor's main love interest sometime in the 80's but don't quote me on that one. Sif and the Enchantress (briefly for the Enchantress) became his main love interests. She's made a few in the 2000s as a rarely used supporting character. Basically the comics followed a more realistic approach in that a mortal tied to an immortal wouldn't end well. It also didn't help that during the 70's/ 80's Thor did a lot more space travel/ dimension hopping so Jane was left behind.

Does no one watch trailers lol? It is shown in the first trailer for this movie that Jane goes to Asgard.

LOL my thought exactly. Some people are just lazy or too dumb to know how to use the internet even though they're on it.

Last movie was a Thor intro with some good comedy "I need a horse!!" I think Thor and Loki unleash a bit more in this one, but they did not consult me.
