My favorite so far is Thor, but you're missing a lot of movies...

Iron Man was better. That movie has everything from comedy to action, to serious, to heartfelt.

Its still the best MCU movie.

I like Captain America First Avenger and Incredible Hulk the best, I don't like Avengers Hulk though...

I liked Iron Man the best, even though I also liked Thor.

You're missing Thor The Dark World, Captain America The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, and The Avengers.

To answer your question my favorite is a toss up between Iron Man and The Avengers. Iron Man being the start of a vision and The Avengers being the pay off. Honestly though I've enjoyed all of them though and patiently await Captain America The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers Age of Ultron, and Ant-Man.

Although I really like thor, and I enjoyed the movie, it wasn't the best movie of MCU. It kind of lacked action, the humor was weak, and thor managed to change his view about manking in a weekend!

Iron mas was indeed better, as people are saying.

@thorson: So what film is he on about then? Because if someone says Thor I'm going to think the first one but seeing that film and seeing it was lame I'm going to assume he means the dark world, the OP should be clearer.

Any way Ironman is the best film followed by Avengers, Thor:TDW, Hulk, Cap, Ironman 3, Thor, Ironman 2

Nope. Thor 1 is....alright. It's not bad, but...there's nothing particularly unique or impressive about it. It's just a functional commercial for Avengers. Imo, IM1 and 2, Cap 1, and Avengers are far superior movies to Thor.

Regarding solo films, Captain America is by far my favourite.

Thor 1 kinda sucked.

For Phase One, for me personally, it's:

1. Captain America: TFA
2. Iron Man
3. Thor
4. Iron Man 2

I leave Avengers out because it's a combination off all of the characters from each movie, therefore being unfair to compare to the movies that focus solely on one character.

I actually still haven't seen that one.

I actually enjoyed The Incredible Hulk the most. I honestly prefer Ed Norton. But Mark Ruffalo is a good fit with the new Marvel movie demographic.

honestly i cant really pick a favorite. i personally think what marvel should do is just nothing but avengers sequels in regards to phase 2 that way they can get more out of it wile rdj is still on board. build phase 3 with other heros and keep the phase 1 charachters as just the avengers

Avengers is the best movie, but the best standalone is the first IM. And something you mentioned is actually why i always had a problem with Thor, his universe and mythology is very interesting but the character itself... i never got into it. However IM is the better movie than either of the Thor movies. And if we go by that logic Guardians of the Galaxy will be the best Marvel movie because it's happening in space and it features many different alien races, but that alone is not the only thing that can determine a good movie. Story, characters, action, dialogue, etc.. are just as important in these kinds of movies.

To me, there is a pretty large disparity in quality between 5 and 6.

The first iron man and thor are both two of the greatest movies ever imo. I honestly couldn't choose.

Avengers and Iron man (the first one) are the good movies made by marvel studios...everything else is below average and forgettable....

Def Thor. I haven't watched Thor 2 yet, but I enjoyed THOR 1 the most. I'm not even a big THOR fan. ALl the Ironman movies were average IMO.
