I'm not a huge Thor fan(Not that i don't like Thor i just haven't read a lot of his comics) and I was wondering just how powerful the Godblast is. As in who is the most powerful character that it has defeated as well as who is the weakest person to endure it. Scans welcome.

Powerful enough to stop the Juggernaut.

the God blast is one of Thor's more powerful attacks ,because he can enhance its effects by channeling outside energy or forces through Mjolnir ,because the Blast is actually emitted by Thors Immortal life force Pic 1: Thor Defeats leader of the Dark gods who had absorbed the power of Odin Pic 2: Thor Defeats Elder Gods/demons Surtur & Ymir ripping a whole in reality casting them into another dimension Pic 3:Thor defeats a cosmically amped up Thanos Pic :4 The previously mentioned Juggernaut, Juggy is toppled But he's protected the the magical force field of The Elder God Cyttorak, The only reason he survives, Thor was also very weak during this battle, so the blast was nowhere near full power Pic 5: Thor God Blasts outward w/out Mjolnir ,Killing Darak(Thor near physical equal) & most of his minions. There of course are more examples, Thor Blast The Celestial" The Judge" The Judge survives the mountain range he stands on is blow to dust & the planet Pangea shakes to it core, Thor also Ignited all the stars in a galaxy(never truly stated was the God blast, But looked very similar(appearance & application)

Couple of Godblast feats (Don't have any scans now but you can google these)

1. Amped one forced Galactus to flee.

2. Broken through Exitar's (Celestial) dome.

3. IIRC, he also used to to save the destruction of a planet.

The godblast is no joke.

Thor's power + Mjolnir's power= Multi glalaxy busting attack that can affect people like Surtur.

@dum529001: Is it really "Multi Galaxy busting"? I've always been told Thor never made just galaxy buster until RKT when he surpassed Odin

Mjolir by itself can already decimate galaxies. Surtur is on level with Odin who is a multi-galxy buster.

Hasn't Thor staggered Surtur with agodblast?

Despite being very weakened Odin during his fight with Seth, destroyed entire galaxies and certainly much of the universe, fighting simultaneously on every plane of existence, shaking the entire universe, tearing even the very fabric of reality Multiverse! Threatening to destroy even the space / time continuum!.

Wait, if the Godblast is so powerful why doesn't he use it more often? I didn't finish the Godbomb story yet, but he hasn't used it yet...I know he wins, but I am pretty sure he doesn't use it. Why not?

For starters, if it's used on anything other than top-tier folks it would kill them, something Thor isn't a fan of. Also it appears to take time to charge, so there might not always be an opportunity. Also since he's channeling part of his life-force, I imagine it leaves him weakened (I could be wrong).

There's enough evidence to prove the God-blast to be a half-galaxy busting attack.

@experio: I don't have the print, but Thor has nullified a bomb designed to destroy a galaxy, by passing the energy through Mjolnir, this didn't seem to damage Mjolnir. Once when using a God-blast it shattered Mjolnir, so it stands to reason that a God-blast has at least enough energy to destroy a galaxy.

@dark_lightning: Exactly what I had in mind, but it should be noted that Thor placed the belt of strength on to Mjolnir before it shattered, it doubled the power of the Godly-force.
