Do you think we'll ever get to see THOR levitate more in upcoming films?

We only really got to see him levitate during the battle with the destroyer. In the avengers during the chituri fight scene he needed help from the building.

He was using the building to channel the lightning through the portal. He also flew in the first movie to knock out that big frost giant beast. Idk I feel Marvel might be inconsistent with this one. Since he controls the winds he doesn't need to wind up Mjonir to fly. IJS

YOU ARE NOT UNDERSTANDING WHAT I MEAN.

I MEAN LEVITATE AS IN To rise or cause to rise into the air and float in apparent defiance of gravity.

@thorson: He should be able to do that easily with his control of the winds. I'm just saying.

If he can do this even in his early classics:

@alligatian: He wasn't levitating there. He just jumped very high like the Hulk.

I know, he's done it a few times. Though sometimes he isn't written with that ability.

He appears to be sitting on clouds with his hammer tucked between his crossed legs/feet, anyway there are more feats of him levitating in the air (and sometimes even flying) without his hammer in this thread here

I'll try and find it, but here's an interesting one from Thor and Loki: The Tenth Realm (Original Sin) #2, this is clearly Thor levitating in the air without his hammer:

I purposely put this under PAINT to show you guys what exactly is going on in this scan, this is Thor is levitating in the air after his hammer is thrown away. Also notice the women saying a levitating Thor is "weaponless", and it doesn't end there:

I don't blame people saying that Thor cannot fly without his hammer, it's just inconstant because I've seen some scans of him falling right after having thrown his hammer in mid-air (hilarious). So he has his pros and cons, but I like his pros such as this:

That's him (Thor) leaping into the ship from water carrying someone in the other hand after he was tossed overboard by the current of the water, so maybe that scan is more of leaping feat but this one is impressive:

Sure he has his hammer tucked in his belt but hey, as long as he is not holding it.....then it counts in my books as a feat!!!

That's Thor about to take off with his hammer but the alien mother stops him, then Thor is required to carry two alien babies WHILE flying. So how does Thor take off into the air carrying two babies? Here:

@takenstew22: Sadly Marvel writers seem to be inconsistent when it comes to Thor's flight ability without mjornir, I don't know but these writers seem to have no problem showing Thor actually flying (and not just hovering) without his hammer:
