NOPE... But he is stronger...

#6 Posted by Valtot (4502 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago - Show Bio
@Deadcool:

maybe at base but odin can increase his physical power greatly over thor with the odin force im guessing since zeus did something similiar while fighting hulk to easily dominate him physically

Without the odinforce, Thor would battle him for a while, but he would eventually lose.  With the odinforce he could probably beat him.  Thor beat Bor right?  It also depends on what level of odinforce he has.

@TransgressionsofSociety
It was stated the only thing that kept Bor from killing Thor in one blow was the Odinforce.  Otherwise, Thor would have been killed easily.

Odin admitted that Thor was supposed to be more powerful than him and is stronger and has the potential to surpass him as he is half elder God but never mastered his mystical abilities to do so. Thor has a much higher base strength than someone like Odin or Loki but they use magic to amp their strength.

so although he could Surpass Odin for now this is true.

 And it happened, when he gained the power of Runes and double Odin Force.

He didn't gain fouble the Odinforce

RKThor is pretty much all of Thor's power+all of Odin's power all mastered. even ancient rune magics+Thor having knowlege of almost anything from sacraaficing both his eyes to mimir. hanging himself from the world tree and dying.

While Thor might have raw power with the Odinforce he lacks the skill to use it well.

Depends how you define the context of the question. Its like asking if any child is stronger than there parent? Fairly broad question, even if you cite a specific example, Is my sister stronger than her father? No, my sister is 8. lol Well, is she stronger than her father when he was 8? Maybe? I don't have feats for either of them. Thor nor Odin were born with the Odin power, are we taking both characters as they are currently? What definition of power and powerful are we talking here? Ability to inflict force? The power to change and affect? The ability to overcome?

Generally to give a simpler answer I would say as both characters are now, Odin is clearly more powerful. Though Odin is known as wise and so understandably if he wants his son to be more powerful than him, he likely will, thus Thor's mother being Gaea, and so if we compared Odin and Thor say? Like when both were 8, I would say Thor would probably be more powerful overall. So depends is my final answer with the acknowledgment that Odin is more powerful now as he generally always has been more than Thor. (and probably will, unless his accumulated power is stripped)

because Odin is his father, king and has been for many years. So its sometimes hard to just put yourself above a legend if their name is ODIN.

Odin paved the way for THOR, and THOR will never be ODIN.

@THORSON: RKT is above Odin..

#30 Posted by THORSON (886 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

in what way?

never as a individual. the all father is above all.

#31 Posted by The_Lunact_And_Manic (2900 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

Read the issues.

RKT is above Odin in every single way.

Rune King Thor is unquestionably superior.

Standard Thor is two solid tiers below which is pretty ridiculous to me.

Gaea and Odin, an elder goddess and a high skyfather come together and make a son. Who is a high herald?

#33 Posted by sommyt (252 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

@Fernando072295REBORN: yea that is one pretty cool combination ...unlike ares where they are two earth gods or herculers where its a sky father and a mortal ...but a skyfather and an elder god now thats unique

#34 Posted by TrueMarvel (153 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

When Thor becomes king he is FAR more powerful then his dad. It is because he is a higher level god then his father. He is the son of gaea. His gaea blood actually puts him on a higher level than his father. Thor force is so much stronger than the odin force its really no comparison

#35 Posted by TrueMarvel (153 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

@THORSON:

Nope. Not even close. Thor Force is stronger than Odin force

#36 Posted by joshmightbe (19432 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

He has potential to be considering he's half elder god but under normal circumstances no he isn't

@joshmightbe: How do you figure? RUNE king thor and king thor are different, it even says it in their full titles.

#39 Posted by joshmightbe (19432 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

@lanebad6: King Thor is Rune King Thor because the only time he's referred to as King is in the arc where he is Rune King

#40 Posted by Megan Fox (75 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

Do you think "thing that is a false statement" is true?

#41 Posted by lanebad6 (110 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

@joshmightbe: Really? So in the thor story arc "lord of asgard" he wasn't king thor?

#42 Posted by joshmightbe (19432 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

@lanebad6: He had the title but he was usually just referred to as Thor

#43 Posted by lanebad6 (110 posts) - 2 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

@joshmightbe: Well his full title during that was king thor, right? Sure you didn't here it to much, but he still was the lord of asgard.
