"As the inscription states, only those the enchantments of Mjolnir deem worthy may even lift the hammer. Some who have been able to wield Mjolnir:
Odin, Thor, Captain America, Awesome Andy, Thunderstrike, Beta Ray Bill, Buri, Superman, Wonder Woman, Deadpool  , Red Norvell, and Dargo but Thor once stated that Hercules is worthy of wielding Mjolnir though Hercules has never tried. The ability to wield Mjolnir is not necessarily permanent, and may also depend on need. Superman was able to lift Mjolnir for only a short period of time."

Hulk picked it up for a few seconds through shear force in Ultimate Avengers.
He wasn't able to hold it very long, and to my knowledge he is the only person to have done it without being worthy

But he did threw it very easily in that movie. I was like: "WTF! 2 second ago he could hardly lift it and then he grabbed it with one hand and threw it like if it was nothing!"

Crusader from a What if comic. She was the daughter of Rogue and Captain America. And Conan did as well in a what if comic. If alternate universes count. Also does Jake Olson count as well?

This is the list I found on the Marvel Wiki

Steve Rogers has been worthy of lifting Thor's hammer I think.

@Caligula:
i don t think it was the hammer of the real thor!
#13 Posted by grimlock (1571 posts) - - Show Bio

hulk has lifted it with a lot of difficulty but an enchanted Bor (Thor's grandfather) was able to catch the mjolnir after Thor hurled it towards him at full strength

#14 Posted by rein (1330 posts) - - Show Bio
@grimlock: thor doesn't have a grandfather.

Hulk has never lifted Thor's hammer. The only individuals are Thor, Odin, Captain America, Beta Ray Bill and Thunderstrike.

How about Storm?

#23 Posted by ThePhoenX (119 posts) - - Show Bio

@BigCimmerian: Unfortunately, we've already seen that everything is possible

when a character has "The Writer's Force(aka P.I.S.POWER)" with him... For example : The Loeb's Force

#24 Posted by lanebad6 (111 posts) - - Show Bio

@ShangoofTheOshiras: hulk has lifted Thor's hammer. It was in the ultimates, but who ever the writer is pisses me off.

I'm pretty sure Red Hulk has lifted it as well.

Juggernaut "rides" on the hammer before.

Isn't this Red Hulk?

@Redberry: Loeb writing coupled with the fact that they were already in space, and it's been shown that a lack of gravity allows a loophole in Odin's enchantment, although it still doesn't bestow Rulk with the powers of Thor.

#29 Posted by Mercy_ (92686 posts) - - Show Bio

He wasn't lifting it. He was in space and was merely holding it.

He clearly swings it.

And its still incredibly stupid. Incredibly.

@ReVamp: Shut up, Vampy, he clearly didn't.

Enchantress... OH! you meant his hammer! :p

I'd rather you said he did, so we don't have to accept that he simply lifted the hammer and can clearly blame it on Loeb and his force. Otherwise, we'll have to accept Rulk lifting the hammer as an actual feat.

#34 Posted by Redberry (797 posts) - - Show Bio

Ok, I saw the scan, but I didn't read the issue. It's strange though since it would mean that the hammer somehow relates to Earth's gravity.

#35 Posted by SC (12983 posts) - - Show Bio

You can't lift things in space, you can move them pretty though, the problem is stopping them. So as the documented story goes, Jeph Loeb goes to Tom Brevoort and asks him under what conditions can Red Hulk use Thor's hammer against him. Brevoort confirms he can't lift it, but there is an old story where Iron Man can manipulate it in space, so if Red Hulk gets it space he can use it.

Story is a bit simple and silly in that Loeb writes Thor as holding back because he thinks its Green Hulk and because you hit something in space and it moves away from you, and the same frictionless mechanics that allow Rulk to swing the hammer should mean he can't really hit Thor let alone more than once, given he has no resistance or self sustained propulsion.

All in all Red Hulk has not lifted the hammer, unless your using an ambiguously stretched version of the word lift.

Can't forget Doctor Doom...

@SC: And of course, he talks. And there's no sound in space..

Ah yes! That was great, especially how whilst in that space he verbally explains that since he is space now, he has to hold his breath since there is no oxygen to breathe. **grin**

That was only a cover image...it was never explicitly stated whether he lifted it or not.

Hercules has (is the Ragnarok hammer in Civil War Thor's hammer?)

#41 Posted by si_x_lence (4 posts) - - Show Bio

hey, Storm gets credit for lifting that hammer (holding it for a while), in the amalgam universe, no?

#42 Posted by Ricky_Gervais (144 posts) - - Show Bio

I just wanted to make sure, right, that nobody forgot that Thor has lifted hid hammer as well, okay mate

#43 Posted by SupahForeigner (227 posts) - - Show Bio

I don't think you can count Odin considering it was Odin who put the enchantment in the first place?

#44 Posted by X35 (5981 posts) - - Show Bio

@primepower53: Nope. Ragnarok's hammer is some crummy knock-off.

#45 Posted by BigCimmerian (8149 posts) - - Show Bio

Thor
Hercules
Captain America
Bor
Odin
Those are only ones I've seen lift it in canon

#46 Posted by TheCannon (18341 posts) - - Show Bio

Beta Ray Bill

Captain America

Odin

Storm

Spider-man 2099

Thunderstrike

Conan the Barbarian

And my personal favorite (besides Thor), Wonder Woman

Superman has lifted the hammer, although Odin lifted the enchantment at that time.

Rogue has also lifted it, but after absorbing Thor's powers.

#47 Posted by thestarguy (351 posts) - - Show Bio

Didn't Zeus once briefly wield it, in Olympus, when a brash young Thor once attacked him? Not for long, but long enough to prove that his power equalled the enchantment of Odin?

#48 Posted by VaporishLicense (79 posts) - - Show Bio

i know captain america can lift thor's hammer

but hulk.. no wayyy

Are we counting non sentient (I think that's what it calls) beings? Because people like the Destroyer Armor, the Awesome Anroid, Zarko's robot, etc. have lifted it.
