Poll: Are you going to go see Thor: The Dark World (79 votes)

Yes 76%
No 14%
Maybe/Undecided 15%

I'll be going to the Thor marathon next Friday and wanted to know if any other viners were going to see Thor: The Dark World next weekend. I'm 99% convinced it'll be crap but am hoping against hope. What are your thoughts?

I'm pretty pissed they're doing away with Midnight movies. I LOVED going to movies at midnight

8pm Thursday night opening ? wtf is this?

Yes. However, after only one trailer, I am more excited for Captain America than I ever was for Thor.

Agreed. I really hope Hemsworth/Portman have worked on their chemistry. It was easily the worst part of movie 1 for me.

Cap looked damn good though. Better than X-Men and Thor.

...now if Sony will get the TASM trailer out :3

Yup. Big Thor fan.

Also, this. Although I am looking forward to both movies, I'm still geeking out over the Winter Soldier trailer.

Of course.

@fallschirmjager: @battle_forum_junkie:

I really hope that there is a trailer for Captain America and, perhaps, Days of Future Past in the theaters when I see Thor.

EDIT: ComicVine deleted my entire comment -_-

I'll probably see it for the giggles like Joker said. But in theatres? No. Free online when it comes on Viooz in good quality. :P I'd rather watch Bad Grandpa in the theatres! =O Woot, woot!

I am worried about Malekith due to the fact that reviewers are calling him "forgettable", but I'm glad that he's a new villain to the MCU like Loki and Red Skull were.

As bad as it sounds, I'm mainly excited for the trailers... X-Men, Cap and HOPEFULLY Guardians of the Galaxy are attached to the film.

I'm a big Thor fan, so yes I will. The first movie was meh, but this one looks much better. It will be covering the nine realms, and is introducing a villain besides Loki so I'm excited. Especially since now there's no need for an intro to who Thor is which one of the reasons the first movies sucked imo.

To be honest, as a comic book fan, I want to see very comic book movie unless it really that awful.

#31 Posted by longbowhunter (7044 posts) - - Show Bio

Yes, and here are three reasons. Christopher Eccelston as Malekith, Chris Yost had a hand in writing it and more Loki.

#32 Posted by _slim_ (13075 posts) - - Show Bio

Most likely I won't. Probably catch it on bootleg or something.

Hell yes, the trailers and TV spots have me hyped for it. I can't wait to see what's in store in this film!

the only review that matters is your own. i mean hey i never cared for trek growing up but i loved the 2 jj films and it got me into both the os and tng. nowadays people who do reviews hype shit up or bash something because it isnt what they wanted.

people have this idea comic book films need to be 100% like the comic and its damn near impossible if you think about it. i mean think back to green lantern can you imagine if parallax ( who should not have been in anyways) looking exactly like he does from the comic? it would look retarded

YESSS!!!

Just give me Hemsworth and a big screen!

I have to plans to go with some buds of mine :)

#45 Posted by krspaceT (1473 posts) - - Show Bio

So far, the ratings for it on Rotten Tomatoes are pretty good (Higher than Iron Man 3), so that gives me reason to want to go check it out. Sure, Metacritic has low ratings, but I haven't seen it rate a single Marvel Movie all that well (Iron Man 1 being the highest at 79 for instance)

I might with my friends just to comment on the film and poke fun at it the entire time. I'm not that interested in Thor to be honest, but it may be a good film.
