He may have acted in a lot of other movies and played an impressive range of other characters, but Colm Feore will always, forever and ever, be the Lord Marshall from THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK in my eyes. So when he (out of contractual requirement) plays it coy when talking about his role in THOR, I can’t help picturing the emperor of the Necromongers throwing down with Thor. Hey - - Vin Diesel’s finally getting around to do the third Riddick movie, maybe this is the first sign that a clandestine smoke screen is in place to eventually have Riddick join the Avengers.
Nah, that would just be too crazy - - but it’s amusing to imagine, if only for a minute. Feore isn’t allowed to talk about his experience with THOR, other than to say that his make-up took five hours to put on. Since Loki’s already been spoken for, I’d say he’s probably either playing Surtur the demon or Malekith the dark elf. There’s no way they’re having him play a heroic character and I’m sure it’s a creature, since I seriously doubt the make-up team needed five hours to powder his forehead.
Five hours in the make-up chair likely isn’t too comfortable - - it's probably as uncomfortable as walking around in a Viking outfit for four months. In a quick interview with SHH, Chris Hemsworth related that wearing Thor’s costume got progressively less comfortable throughout the long shoot. He took comfort in the fact that it looked cool, though, and can breathe easy, now, since he’s just finished shooting his portion of the movie. With a solid year left before the movie’s release date, Marvel’s crew got a (dare I say) comfortable amount of time to finesse all the effects and (possibly) even convert THOR into 3D.
