Movie » Thor: The Dark World released on November 08, 2013.

Sequel to the movie Thor. Will star Chris Hemsworth as Thor. According to Hemsworth the sequel is to have 'a more viking feel to it.' and focuses on the other realms after the Asgard have been unable to build the Bifrost.

Christopher Eccleston to be Malekith in Thor 2?

I hope not. Last thing I saw him in was GI Joe and he sucked in that.

If this is true.. then this movie just got that much more exciting.

he was a good doctor, but I have seen him in 2 things and he only did well in one which is why I am wary.

Doctor Who is more than enough to place him leagues above most other actors.

@The_Thunderer: That's a little bit besides the point. Eccleston proved his acting skill with The Doctor, who is an incredibly complex character to pull off correctly. I have no doubt that he can pull off Malekith well, if not superbly.

Yeah!!!!! He's my favorite Doctor Who and he'll be the big bad! Can't wait for this movie!

eccleston seems much better suited than madds which makes me wonder if he was supposed to play kurse.
