Asgard = U.S.A. After 9/11? 0

Robert Rodi's Thor: For Asgard, despite the Simone Bianchi's covers that depict battle scenes, seems to be less an action story than one of intrigue. One that seems to be at least partly inspired by the real-world events of 9/11. The parallels seem undeniable. Although the word 'terrorism' is never overtly mentioned that I can recall (and rightly so), it seems clear that the 'War on Terrorism' and the resulting Iraq and Afghanistan wars waged in its name inform every issue of this series.
