Fraction! Ferry! Heroic Age! The perfect jumping-on point as THOR's all-new creative team and all-new era kick off HERE! In the wake of SIEGE, Asgard must take its proper place as the Golden Realm, most glorious of the nine worlds of myth. But that means Thor's home isn't just a beacon...it's a target! And what happens to the Asgardians and the denizens of all nine worlds -- including Earth! -- when a dark, destructive force from another reality comes on the warpath?
In Broxton Oklahoma, Dr. Eric Solvang tries to explain to Volstagg his theory that if Asgrad is on Midgard then something else, evil and horrible will move into the place Asgrad was. Volstagg doesn't seem to be understanding the doctors theory but finally is convinced, sort of.
Meanwhile on Alfheim, Lord Thane and his army of Ano-Athox invade and slaughter countless light elves. Then Thane sends a report to his father, Uthana that the landing zone is ready and Thane awaits there arrival in this new time space.
Back on Midgard, Thor tells Lady Sif that he misses his brother Loki, a fact that she can't understand. Thor flies off to find Balder and after having an argument with Donald Blake, Thor finds Balder in Odin's old throne room. There Thor yells at Balder for not acting like a king. But before Thor can berate Balder farther, Heimdall, screams for help.
Heimdall has seen the death of the Gods, and unknown to Thor it has something to due with Dr. Solvang's theory.
