Asgard has fallen, Mephisto has control of the Disir, and the rest of Thor's world has been turned upside down.

    The Good

There is a lot going on in this issue. We have the Asgardians searching for their new king, Mephisto and his reign in Hell, and Hela is doing her thing in Hel. There's a lot of actually interesting stuff going on in the book. Usually, Thor tends to bore me, but not this issue. The artwork in here was a mixed bag for me. Any panels that consisted of medium or close-up shots I thought were great. very detailed, and interesting. Anything else was just ok at best.

    The Bad

Although there's a lot of good stuff happening in this book. I'm not excited by it. I just float through the book. I'm sure this is because I've never really liked Thor though. I mentioned that the close us art was pretty good earlier. I felt that the shots that were farther away, the actual battle scenes turned out to be a little drab and dull because of the art style.

    The Verdict 3/5

While I am interested to see where this story goes, this issue didn't really excite me. I know some of the Thor fans won't be happy with this, but as a person who is interested in the character and tries his darnedest to get into the books, I feel as though this series has failed to make me a fan yet again. I'm sure Thor fans will enjoy this, but for the rest of us, let's just enjoy the pretty cover.
