    Seidring has been unleashed upon Asgard, casting doom over divine and mortal being alike. Will the son of Odin rise to defeat this latest menace? The Odin Power may be strong with Seidring, but the Mighty Thunderer has clout all his own!

    1. "The Hammer and the Holocaust!" - (Lee / Kirby / Colletta) Following a defeat at the hands of Hercules, a half-strength Thor turns his back on Jane Foster and returns to Asgard, only to find the gods enslaved and Seidring on the Throne!
    2. The Meaning of... "Ragnarok!" - (Lee / Kirby / Colletta) The Asgardian gods have returned to Asgard where the prophetess Vollo relates the coming of Ragnarok!

    "The Hammer and the Holocaust!" takes place following Thor's battle with Hercules. The defeated Thor returns to Asgard to find all the rest of the Asgardians defeated by Seidring, who is in full possession of the Odinpower. After several pages of strange battle including Seidring hurling meteors at Thor, and trapping him in a bubble of liquid Wolfsbane (!?), Stan Lee comes up with a fairly innovative way for a half-depowered Thor to best a villain with the full power of Odin.  The subplot involv...
