    If She Be Worthy....

Thor no longer wields Mjolnir and has sunk to the deepest levels of despair.

    The Good:

Jason Aaron & Russell Dauternan do a great job of conveying to the reader Thor's desperation over no longer being able to wield Mjolnir. From facial expressions to body language the reader is immediately able to sympathize with Thor's plight in this issue.

Another great underlying issue in this comic is the rivalry between Freya and Odin. Freya has been in charge during his leave of absence and clearly has no intentions of her power being returned to the All-Father. They also disagree quite heatedly on the parental treatment Thor receives during one of his weakest moments.

The art in this issue is outstanding. The Asgardians are beautifully rendered and the designs for Malekith and the Frost Giants jump off the page with their vividness and colors.

    The Bad:

No major complaints here. Odin being powerless to restore the hammer's enchantment is a bit perplexing but I feel like this is an issues that will be addressed sooner, rather than later.

This series is off to a good start. I am definitely interested to see the developments to come in this series.

For those of you scratching your heads asking when the hell this happened, in issue #7 of Origina...

      She-Thor is a terrible Introduction 0

I've already had enough problems with a new Female "Thor" replacing the God of Thunder. But this new comic is just bad. It does not show anything new other than Thor cannot lift his hammer for some reason. And the last shot of the comic shows the "New Thor" lifting the hammer WITHOUT doing anything. Seriously, nothing happens. It is a terrible introduction to a terrible change to such a beloved character. I am not nor will I ever refer to this new character as "Thor", because there is only one ...
