Thog is a splintered persona of Satan. Like all such avatars he has a distinct personality, pattern of behaviour and "signature" although he conforms in virtually all respects with the raging, utterly evil, sadistic monstrous aspect of the "classic" Satan.
Thog was the long-term enemy of Man-Thing and many other heroes, including Doctor Strange and his Defenders, Jennifer Kale, Dakimh the Enchanter and Howard the Duck.
