Thing

Character » Thing appears in 5145 issues.

Ben Grimm, The Thing, is the original, quintessential "tough-guy" of the Marvel Universe but because of his transformation, he's also the unfortunate member of the Fantastic Four. Ben's exterior is hard as stone and his gruff disposition might fool some, but inside he has a heart of gold

Who draws the best Thing (Ben Grimm)?

I love Ed McGuinness's Thing.  It reminds me of Kirby.

I like Michael Turner's rendition as well.

This character is so hard to draw.

Really? I find it hard to find a picture I don't like. I mean I find a few, and those I really don't like, but for the most part they seem good if they made it to the comic.

For me personally and some artists complain.  That is what I meant.

The very first, original that looked like a bunch of clay formed into a human shape!

Jim Lee and Steve McNiven by far do the best Ben Grimms.

I also like Land's thing and the others.  Some peeps suck at him though.

The Thing never looked better than when pencilled by George Perez and inked by Joe Sinnott  in the late 70's.
Others, such as Carlos Pacheco, Alan Davis and Andrea DiVito have come close, but Perez and Sinnott's version is still the best IMO.

Edwin Garcia is pretty good.

It's too bad this image isn't in color, but the Thing never looked better than when George Perez drew him, imo.

Micheal Turner draws the best everything, so this isn't much of a debate LMAO :P

May he RIP.

I'd say Barry Kitson draws a good Grimm.

Really? Nobody said Mike Werringo?

I know he gets knocked by some people for trying to emulate Kirby too much, but Rich Buckler did a nice job.
