Jason Strongbow is a member of the Navajo Nation discovered that the villain Klaw was in league with a mining company excavating a mountain sacred to the navajo. Jason's brother, Ward, did not agree with him about preserving the mountain which caused a fight between the brothers and Kalw. During the fight, Klaw used his sonic blaster on the two brothers which caused the brothers to develop enhanced strength, endurance and senses. Klaw left with his crew, including Ward, to the Savage Land. Jason followed Klaw, and there he met Ka-Zar, the Thing, and Wyatt Wingfoot. The four joined forces and defeated Klaw and his minions.
