    Fainting Redheads & Slippery Villains

    Overview
Introducing the Vanisher! The X-Force guy? Turns out that under the cool tattoos and bad attitude is a really old guy in pajamas with some major swag and vanishing abilities. Sort of the same quirks from the last issue are present here. Everything is dated, the dialogue is dated, all the characters are creepy perverts, Iceman keeps making extremely sexual and inappropriate jokes that he acts on, Jean when she is not being a Mary Sue is fainting and Xavier does that 'I will not talk at all since I can just intrude in your mind. Bwhahaha I am not exploiting teenagers at all" Silence. Person reading this review, minus five demerit points. Anyway this evil mutant the Vanisher shows up. He is real game, which is sort of funny and a tiny bit cool. I mean, he actually tells the cops that he is going to steal money from banks. He likes to tell people just what his nefarious plans are before he does it. That's mad swag right? Anyway, cops can't stop him, and he finds acquiring henchmen pretty easy. Also somehow the ability to teleport means that Vanisher can steal literally everything. Like locks and keys didn't exist in the 60's? Super secret national defense plans and codes are left on a table protected by four guys with hand guns?? Uhm, yeah... X-Men are sent to stop him (when they are not in fighting or flirting with each other, yes I am looking at you iceman) but they fail. Xavier steps up though in the end though to help teach his students how incompetent they are. Day saved, bay guy mentally violated. Vanisher may look real whack, but I actually thought he was a pretty cool villain.

    Random Musings

Oh, Xavier mind wiping people just seems so sinister... I actually though Jean's characterization in previous issue was pretty good seeing as I was sort of expecting some awkward minor level sexism (or awkward female empowerment type moments that sort of fall flat) but this issue stepped up and had some dizzy Jean fainting and Jean needing to be carried but also some bad guys go after the girl only to be flatly denied by her showing of power! Cyclops is sort of like Xavier lite, he keeps telling the other characters to be quiet. Xavier is... well he flat out tells students to be silent. In ways that just seem so randomly aggressive. Oh and cue more crazy contraptions. Oh and wow, Xavier tries to kill jean in this issue as well ~ under the premise that she will probably die one day (Xavier could see the future back them already?) and so you know, better she learn that now. Actually considering Jean's track record maybe Xavier was on to something.

Moment Xavier Trying to Kill Jean

Hey maybe Xavier should have helped practice killing Jean by stabbing her with claws... electromagnetic induced heart attack...

She faints after this of course and needs to be carried of course, of course.

Different threads, no tattoos, same cocky attitude.

    Wow, those 5-0 are racist!

    Worth Reading?

I suppose if you read #1 then... yeah sure. I mean, its not a fancy number one issue, but number two issues need love too... but uhm yeah, still sort of funny in its a its so old and dated sort of entertaining way.

      What Are You Wearing!? 0

In our second X-Men tale our heroes must do battle with a nefarious foe on the lawns of liberty in front of the white house. It will take all the skills of these brave young heroes in training to stop The Vanisher! Wait. What in the blue thunder bomb is he wearing?Yes ladies and gentlemen this month the X-Men must do battle with the emperor of the Pine Cones. I swear blind he is the worst looking villain I've seen by Marvel yet. There's no reason for him to be dressed like that! None whatsoever....

Professor X Saves the Day!! 0

This issue begins with the dramatic entrance of the X-Men from off the streets to Xavier's mansion where they are informed of a new menace called the Vanisher. Elsewhere, the Vanisher robs a bank and later threatens to steal U.S. government plans. The X-Men are sent in to stop him but only end up playing hot potato with the plans which end up in the Vanisher's hands anyways. A ransom is placed on the plans and the X-Men are again sent in to stop it except this time the Vanisher is accompanied by...
