    Power is a fleeting thing 1

    The X-Men  have already faced several enemies whose powers make them constant threats, Now there is one who experiences power for some fleeting minutes and then watches it fade away.   The introduction features the X-Men in another training session in the Danger Room.     Origin Story: Third Time's a Bore 0

    As innovative a creator and enthusiastic a personality Stan Lee is, it is quite clear by issue 19 of the X-Men that he had pretty much run out of ideas.  The Mimic is innovative, sure, but his origin story is fundamentally no different from Xavier's origin and Beast's origin: atomic or chemical explosion/accident followed by dominance at everything in school coupled with loss of social acceptance.  Not only does Calvin Rankin copy the powers around him, but his story is a re-hash of most stories...

    And back to starting the issue with a number of pages dedicated to training. Can we at least move the around within the book? Maybe in the middle or at the end?Luckily, this book stars one of the least interesting villains of all time.So, I'm gonna skip my normal, "for the love of God, will Stan Lee please take a writing class!" and skip to the horrible villain.Now I realize that most of the books that I enjoy have more of an overarching story-line as opposed to an episodic, anthology type book,...
