Plot Summary

Spinning out of August's "Red Circle" event from superstar writer J. Michael Straczynski comes the new ongoing adventures of the selfish rich-boy hero the Web, and the mysterious-undying Hangman. Writer/director Angela Robinson (D.E.B.S.) and artist Roger Robinson (BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS) spin the tales of The Web, a man who has only recently come to understand the burden of true heroism. He's fighting crime on his own terms, and for his first mission he's hunting down the men responsible for...

Plus, the Hangman stars in his own co-feature with a touch of urban noir. The Hangman haunts the streets of San Francisco and touches lives as he works to discover whether his powers are a blessing or a curse.

When I frist saw this comic I was  intrigued the art on the cover was outstanding just the amount of detail amazed me, and I found that the writing was very good. The writer (Angela Robinson) did a very good job of getting me to care about John Raymond (The Web). The only problem that I had was that during the action  scenes the art seamed a little rushed and the color of his costume seamed a little off, but that is to be expected with a costume as detailed as the webs the co-feature was a nice touch that added to the book. I recommend picking up this issue right now while it is still early in the series.

    The Web # 1 - Spinning The Future, Part 1 :

I must admit really liking  this acr as well ,better then the 90's Impact Comics verision of The Web of which  I own all of them T.B's , now I would like see the others Red Circel Charters  to come  like The Black Hood , The Comet , or Red Rube  ect . I hope  DC will keep using them .

The Web was a new character to me, I had no idea who he was. I picked up the book and loved it! I think the web has a lot of potential, kind of a Batman meets Spider-Man. This issue is very good, DC may just have landed a goldmine! The writing is good, the art is a little shaky, but overall, I still enjoyed this issue. THe Hangman is another fantastic character, I hope they keep his second feature. (I liked him enough to buy his one-shot, which I never do.) If you can still find this issue on Comic Shop shelves, pick it up!
