I think Jenner told Rick that he created the virus -- a confession of sorts before he was incinerated.

I can't remember his name or if they came in contact with him again, but the guy he have the walkie-talkie to in the first episode.
 
Has anyone discussed it might be about him?

Maybe he told him one of them played a role in the cause of the outbreak? 
Maybe he told him one of the survivors had taken an antidote and not told the others, that would show in the blood right?

I am all for rewatching the entire season.  As for my guess, I am some where with them all being infected.  I reserve the right to change or amend ,post rewatch.

You know, if it is "We're all already infected", it's kind of a lame shock. So when you die, which is an inevitability, you come back a zombie? Unless it's from natural causes, or an outright accident, what difference does it really make?
 
It's a nice thing to know, if you're a survivor, but it should really do nothing to change your outlook or your plight. Grimes having a prego wife would be far more interesting for future storylines than yet another way of becoming a zombie.

I thought it was "I have to be leaving, but I won't let that come between us."

The comic has it where anyone who dies by any method comes back as a zombie.

The secret is that Rick is a "living zombie", during the episode there was an enphasis in letting the audience know that when Shane tried to save him in the hospital he had died.  The machines went off, his heart stopped pounding.  Yet he survived....because his body had metabolized the zombie virus or whatever....so he is a living and thinking zombie. Zombie with a soul.  He probably said:  "you are supossed to be dead" "you are one of them"  or something like that hinting that he is indeed a zombie.

Personally I think he whispered the exact same thing Mary Jane whispered to Mephisto... okay nah, more seriously, I think he whispered, "How yo like eggs, Fried or Fertilized, fried or fertilized, fri, fri fried or fertilized" but its just not the same without the arm movements.

i would bet money that he told rick that the blood test showed that his blood contained a anti-virus. i think this cause

1). why didn't rick get eaten when he was in the coma and the place was over run? he was easy food for them. (the door being closed and a bed blocking the door isn't good enough a reason. they can open doors)

2). he might have been kinda "brain dead-ish" in his coma, but his body was still alive, so it may have a diffrent effect in this case. because u become a zombie by your brain and body dying, then just your brain restarts.

3). a flashback showed shane in the hospital an that he thought rick was dead. (maybe he really was, and the power going out set off and allowed the virus to "work").

4). rick gave blood for his son in "bloodletting" of season 2. this might be of a very large signifigance, and in the sneak peak for the next episode, it showed what looked like his son dying. but i think he's just gonna come back normal because he got ricks blood.
