As mentioned on this week's podcast, AMC has released a first look at Season 2 of The Walking Dead (not to be confused with the fan trailer that popped up earlier).

Do you think the show can pick up on the momentum the first season had? Shows of this nature on cable TV tend to have a longer wait time between seasons. Many have been complaining about the wait for this show. I'm curious what is going to happen with the actor playing Carl and is he going to noticeably shows signs of aging. Season 2 begins in October.

Looking fantastic so far.

Although I'm not familiar with the comic books, I do know a little bit about the story and am really excited to see the direction they go with the show. Is it going to be nothing short of a wink and nod here and there or is it going to start following the comic closer than season one? I don't mind either way, personally, as each option has great potential. I'm just excited to see what happens next.

i hope the show stays ok. Im still a bit on edge about how far they are going to stray from the comic. I was glad they told us up front... but i still dont know how i feel...

As mentioned by other users, I'm not familiar with the comics but I LOVED series 1 and looking forward to this :) One thing though, is it just me or does Rick seem PISSED lol

I'm missing Rick's axe. I get the rock makes him look more desperate for supplies, but I just can't help but think that that little scene would've been cooler with his axe in hand.

My friends and I kind of groaned... its literally such a teaser and doesn't tell you anything!
 
Also... the show is PRODUCED by Kirkman, which, to me, means even if it doesn't follow the books, its still a direction that the original creator is willing to take it in.   
I'm so tired of hearing fanboys complain about movies and shows not being page-for-page, word-for-word adaptations.  You want the original story from Walking Dead?  Then you know  what you can do, right?  GO BACK AND RE-READ THE DAMN COMICS.  
 
The rest of us will enjoy and have fun watching this new and different series while you do that.

So they're going to air every new season of Walking Dead starting in October? That will be a long wait there.

Great goodness he just smashed that camera. Oh well, season's canceled. What will they film with now that's it been rocked.
