Oh My F-ing God!
Ok, I think I have to call it. Best issue so far in the series. It had it all! Major characters getting the axe, check! Heart full goodbyes, check! People doing stupid things that risked the lives of everyone because of fear, check! Shocking turn of events that might impact the series, double check! This issue was incredibly intense the entire way through. I think my jaw dropped at least three times when reading this issue. There is at least one part of the issue that is a little slow. While there was one moment were you scratch your head and think Kirkman got a little lazy.
Since the beginning of the community (whatever you call it) story arc, Kirkman has been fairly quiet up until the last issue. I don’t know if this lengthy lag from shock was because Kirkman wanted us to think the characters were safe or he wanted to keep our guards down. Whatever his thinking, it worked. Even after the events of the last episode and the zombies coming inside. I was still shocked at the lengths that Kirkman went in this issue. Even though we have seen this multiple times in the series. The Walking Dead has to be the top or top 3 comics that are out right now. If you don’t agree, read this story arc and I bet you’ll change your mind. Can’t wait to see how it ends.
