    Anthology books are not for the average North American reader, I do not mean this in insult it is fact.  The change in art continuity, the range of story genre and the at times changing themes make the stories too short for readers use to the forever soap operas of the standard Superhero universes.  For those type of readers, I already recommend passing on this, for a true Vertigo reader who knows good stories should be finite, anthologies are refreshing because sequential arts are pure without ...

    To be honest, I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. The book is composed of 9 short stories and most of them were really good. The ones that I didn't care for that much were "The Land" and "Americana." Even so, they weren't the worst stories I've read.The other stories however, sent some chills down my spine. Not necessarily because they were scary, but because the feeling of suspense and thrill is so well done that by the time y...
