    This was never worth the wait...

    This was an issue I've been looking forward to for the last few months, and I must say, this really doesn't make that wait seem worth it. The art, as splashy and epic as it looks, doesn't help me understand the story. And the plot has me scratching my head a lot. The cover gives you this thought that you're going to have an epic battle between Thor and Magneto, which half-happens. I don't want to give anything away (Quicksilver DOES die at the end of the series though) and I don't know that I'm the best reviewer ever, but I really wanted more.

        In this issue the battle between The Ultimates and the mutants in the Savage land. It starts of with Ka-zar giving a history lesson as to how the mutants came to be there, and what Magneto did to the humans who inhabited it before they arrived. I liked the use of black and white to show that we are in a flashback, yet I am not a fan of Ka-Zar and Shanna never standing any way other than in a pose. It looks silly.
