A descendant of the science fiction made real city, known as Science City Zero. Chase was chosen by Elijah Snow to wear a white suit and lead his field team. Ambrose was killed, or so it seems. Edit
Ambrose Chase was handpicked by The Fourth Man of Planetary to join the field team. Ambrose was the child of a survivor of the Dr. Randal Dowling erected Science City Zero.because of his peculiar heritage he was possessed of a power coined as a "selective physics distortion field." With his power he could manifest numerous effects from slowing local time to running up walls, presumably capable of bending the law of physics within the vicinity of his field's influence. He also brandished two pistols which he would shoot repeatedly in a slowed down time fugue filling the air with hovering lead and then restore times' natural pace causing a storm of bullets.
He is a short lived character in the Planetary story. His debut issue is also his departure and possible death. While hunting down a being from a fictional universe Ambrose is caught unaware by gunfire (rather lack-lusterly)at the hands of one of Dowling's cronies. During his death scene, his life and his affiliation with Planetary flash before the readers eyes. This is all integral to revealing some of the mysteries of Elijah Snow's relationship to Planetary. His death is a matter of debate because once he finally collapsed, he was vanished, possibly swallowed up by his selective physics distortion field.
Much Like Elijah Snow, Ambrose's attire was a snow white suit. His attire in compliment to the visual effect of his powers and his guns gave him a unique iconic aesthetic. He deserves to be brought back from comic limbo and let loose to astonish again, in my humble opinion
