    This does not stop...

...being awesome. Well dang. Three issues in and this comic keeps firing away on all cylinders.

The art is consistent with the first two issues and is done very well, at least in my opinion. The characters are clear, well defined, facial expressions are easy to read and the style is different enough to let your eyes know you're reading Luther Strode and not any other book. It is a bit cartoony and over the top at times, but it fits in very well with the tone of the rest of the book.

The story here continues along quite well as we see Luther take his best friend's advice and try to go out and help out the innocent. Obviously, things don't go as well as he had hoped for. I can argue that this plot point is well expected and a little unimaginative, because it happens in nearly all superhero books but it is handled well and gotten over quickly. The dialogue keeps things smooth and flowing through the issue while poking some fun at certain night dwelling superhero archetypes. Honestly, can't find a fault here cause I'm enjoying it too much. The last third of the comic book ratchets up the tension as we see the dark side ramifications of having such a power come to the surface. I feel that Mr. Jordan has a firm handle on his characters and he evolves them very well, letting them progress naturally never letting them become stale. Just look at how far Luther has come from the beginning of the first issue!

Now let's see, there is mystery here, there is action here, there are good characters here and there is even plenty of gore and violence. Seriously, if you haven't done so, go read. Now.
