The Spirit
Seen this movie for the first time last night when it came on Showtime. What the hell was Frank Miller thinking? This movie was worst then Batman & Robin. Movie was stupid, knew it was stupid, yet tried to act like a cool, good action flick. And Miller wanted to do the Batman reboot movies, thank goodness he did not. Batman & Robin was cheesy, campy and lame but The Spirit took it to a whole new level. The Spirit is a good character and this movie could of been a way to make him mainstream but thanks to Mr. Miller, that will not be happening. In 20 years they should reboot this and do it right. Who esle agrees?
I know should of been way better then what was put on the screen. I mean a movie like Mystery Men I do not mind crap like that, because its a comedy spoof, but The Spirit was supposedly to be a serious film and it was crap.
I was only able to get a quarter of the way through the movie before I stopped watching. Usually when watching a crappy movie I'll watch it to the end to give the film makers the benefit of the doubt that there may be a few high notes. I couldn't do it with this piece of garbage.
I mean this movie hands down the worst superhero flick of all time. Frank Miller should stick to writing comics.
"Only reason I sat through the whole thing was for Scarlett Johannson. lol "
That was her playing Samuel L. Jackson's helper? WOW! Did not even notice her.
" yeah the sprit made me shit bricks : (...........i was in the hospital for a week. "Hahahahaha
"Seriously one of the worst movies ever. If Frank Miller had done the Batman movie, he would have killed the franchise for decades. "
Lol having Batman and Joker being in a comedy fights liek with Spirit and Oct.
Yeah.... the film was absolutely abyssal. It's as if they went to great lengths to make the movie as bad as it was. How did it even pass test screenings?
