    With Jim Corrigan set up as a private investigator, Kim Liang as his girl Friday, and an office above the parlor of Madame Xanadu, Corrigan and the Spectre play a game of chess while they discuss their altered relationship.

    1. "First Stirrings" written by Doug Moench, penciled by Gene Colan, inked by Steve Mitchell, colored by Adrienne Roy and lettered by John Costanza.
    2. "Of Ghostly Guardians and Resurrections" (part II) a two page text piece with the history of the Spectre by Robert Greenberger.

    Note: Phantom Stranger cameo.
