Here's some news that came out a couple days ago. FOX is planning on celebrating the Simpsons' 20th anniversary with a documentary special produced and directed by Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me). The special will be called "The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special In 3-D On Ice" and will air on January 14, 2010. The documentary will look at the cultural phenomenon of the Simpsons and will show how the world sees the Simpsons and how the Simpsons have seen the world over the past twenty years.
How will the special work? What's with the title? How can it be in 3-D and on ice on television? Apparently in a press release, the following was included:

[EDITOR’S NOTE 2: Please note the special is neither in 3-D nor on ice.]
The Simpsons is the longest running comedy in television history. Let's hope for another twenty.
