    Twist (but not really)

If you have read through the first two books of the series you know by now that someone in the issue is going to turn out to be a Ludlow and it's no big surprise as to who it is in this book. Also in this issue the Shade tells how he had felt alone in the world until the superheroes started showing up in the world.

    The Good

In this issue we get to see how much the Shade truly respects Jay Garrick and how much fun he had causing him problems in the past. The Shade also explains that back then he took it easy on the heroes because it was all in good sport to him. We also get to see the Sade do some detective work in this issue as he tries to find out the true identity of Keystone City's newest protector. Another great thing in the story is that we get to see Shade play hero to jay and his wife and then he ask Jay not to tell anyone so his reputation won't be ruined.

    The Bad

The villain by this point it is know surprise that there is a Ludlow in this story out to get revenge on the Shade and in reading the story I found it really obvious as to who it was. Also, the villain has studied the Shade well enough to know a weakness but fails to exploit it properly an dis killed by the Shade.

    The Verdict

While this issue was my least favorite in the series I still think it is a great story and really adds to who Shade is.
