    What? 1

What? What just happened? is there a plot in this? Is the book moving forward? Was it needed to introduce 2 people, races, and strengths and weaknesses and such and then kill them off? Why are you saying introducing on the cover? He was introduced last issue, not this issue... and he's killed off... Isn't this the introduction of the other villain guy? Why is Carter Hall so stupid? Why does the Nth Metal have consciousness now?I don't like Hawkman, but if I did I'd be pissed if this is what I wa...

    To be executed 0

I somewhat like the direction that the new Hawkman is being taken in, but with this only the second issue it is clear the series needs to tighten itself up somewhat in terms of execution.  The story here is decent enough, following two directions focusing primarily on Morphcius and Hawkman respectively, but it feels quite lacking in direction at times.  The art style doensn't help either, I understand it is intended to appear gritty, but it has the effect more often of creating something hard to...

    Still Savage 0

The Good: I really like the way Hawkman's not actually on this cover, just Morphicus clutching Hawkman's empty helmet. It's a nice semi-haunting kind of image that builds Morpicus up as a deadly foe. The action is brutal and chaotic. Reminds me a lot of God of War. That's a GREAT idea for a character like Hawkman. Philip Tan's artwork is getting back to his older style a bit. He's found a much better balance between realistic and surreall that works much better.  The background info we get aside...
