Wow, this issue really clears up a lot of things that happen between Sandman and Lucifer and now I feel like an idiot for reading Lucifer first, all the things I didn't understand were explained in this series. It seems that Heaven wishes to solve a problem of wishes being granted to humanity, but without getting directly involved so they decide to hire none other than the retired Prince of the East, Lucifer.
The issue starts off with a Paul, some demented human being of sorts, his tale although important by the end of the issue, seems unimportant in the beginning and I still do not fully comprehend his purpose though I expect to within the next two issues and await the answers excitedly.
As for Lucifer himself, he is recruited by none other than Amenadiel who happens to light a table on fire (an attribute Beatrice names him of in Lucifer that confused me), this also seems to perhaps be a beginning of their huge rivalry. Another thing that was explained to me in the issue is Lucifer's gaining of the Letter of Passage, for it seems that will be his reward for completing the task.
In the end this issue was just a nice sealer of all the gaps I had in my mind of Lucifer and company and I expect a few more gaps to be filled with the following issues.
The art was not the best I've ever seen but not too bad either, it was...tolerable, in the end although I enjoy this issue, I recommend it mainly for anyone planning on reading Lucifer.
