The Doll's House Comes Into Focus
Part Six of the Doll's House storyline finally gets to the meat of the story. After lots of tangential subplots (which are nonetheless entertaining) we finally learn a little about what's really going on here. Rose Walker, after spending many hours in the Brevard County Hospital where her brother Jed remains unconscious, returns once again to the rooming house in Florida (one of several "Doll's House's" in the story), and goes promptly to bed. That night, everyone in the house has weird dreams that become more intense until all 6 of the residents end up together in one big swirling vortex of a dream. Meanwhile Mathew (who was once a man, and now is a dream) meets Gilbert (who was once a dream place, Fiddler's Green, but is now a man) at the hospital, and they come to a startling conclusion about Rose's fate.
This issue is really just one big plot point - not a particularly surprising one, Lucien told us many issues ago that Rose was a dream vortex - but finally she becomes active as such, and we see a little of what a dream vortex can do. Seeing a little of what each character's dream life is like is kind of neat, but really everything is a setup for the story arc's impending finale.
