It sounds good but his new name is ridiculous. I hate the swearing in Kick ass the comic there was just so much of it and the reason Mark Millar puts it in is he thinks it is all realistic. I could handle the violence and other things but the swearing and profanity just got on my nerves after a while and now they are naming the villain MoFo. That being said aside from all the profanity I really loved KickAss the comic and the movie so the fact that they are making Red Mist a really good villain is pretty cool.

Wow, I cannot believe that's the name they chose to go with.

Wait, it's Millar, yes I can. The crass idiot.

Actually the point of Kick-Ass was to make money from an exploitation style story that could easily translate into film in order to make Millar famous and rich. Don't get me wrong, it's a good story; but there was nothing resembling a high-concept in it. It was exploitation, pure and simple. The same can be said for all of his creator-owned stuff.

the actor played a character in the film superbad who got a fake ID with the name "Mclovin" on it.

The hawaiian organ doner.

why dose he always make a reference to the joker in someway for his villians? i get that its popular to do and all but still

#59 Posted by Hi I'm New (300 posts) - - Show Bio

I think his new name fits well when compared to that of his nemesis but I think McLovin will stick WWAAYYYY better.

#60 Posted by cbishop (7519 posts) - - Show Bio

So if MoFo is the Joker, does he get a Harley Quinn, or a few of them?

1st guy: "Who's that with MoFo?"
2nd guy: "That's one of his girls, ain't it?  Totally twisted chick.  Dang, what's he call 'em...?"
3rd guy, just walking up: "Yo, aint that a Bitch?"

That's right: MoFo and his Bitches.  What crud.

Although, if he's going to be called "Motherf***er," a more obvious name for his Harley would be "MILF."

It seems like 90% of people typing in this comment box and hating the name without a reason forgets the whole point of Kick Ass. Yes, it is funny, yes it is ridiculous. BECAUSE IT WAS MEANT TO BE! Sigh.

It's like complaining there's too much gore and boobies in Piranha 3d. lol.

I'd say you're both alittle bit right.

Guy like Millar and Ennis go a bit far at times but I like it. If someone doesn't they don't have to read it :)

@Comik Book Guy:
Thats true, the name does really suck, but i guess thats the point like u said
#73 Posted by anarchcorp (44 posts) - - Show Bio

The Motherfucker? That sounds like Millar wasn't even trying.

#74 Posted by Silkcuts (5272 posts) - - Show Bio

I don't like that Kick-Ass felt like a Batman re-image.  Big Daddy like Batman, Kick-Ass like Dick Grayson, Red Miss - Jason Todd, Hit-Girl - Robin, etc.

If Red Miss is like Jason Todd... sure make him a confused bad guy who thinks he is a good guy and then make him an important Villain.

Millar has talent, he was Grant Morrison's understudy for many years... but Millar is trying so hard to become super famous, he is starting to look like a Hack and becoming extremely overrated.

#75 Posted by Hadez (164 posts) - - Show Bio

I love it. The Motherfucker. It's blunt straight to the point and ghetto. i wouldn't want to be called McLovin either. I really like the new name. I love and the fact that The Mofo is gunna be a million times worse the Heath Ledgers Joker is awesome finally a villain to be proud of.

#76 Posted by Chamoi (36 posts) - - Show Bio

I dont think   Mintz-Plasse can pull it off, i mean he doesnt have the skill to  make Ledger's Joker look like Romero's Joker.

#77 Posted by CrimsonInuTears (465 posts) - - Show Bio

.... Fuck no to the name. I mean really... No.
#78 Posted by MemnochZERO (146 posts) - - Show Bio

He'll end up getting called McMotherlover.

#81 Posted by nrain (10 posts) - - Show Bio

My wallet is the one with Bad Motherfucker written on it! and scene!

#82 Posted by Grim (2079 posts) - - Show Bio

....whatever. I honestly dont care what happens to this film. They ruined this fanchise for me when they changed the ending of the first one and it was still goood. I'll go see  2, and i hope its good, but it no longer has the excitement factor of the other comic movies that have something i can compare it to.

#83 Posted by crusader8463 (214 posts) - - Show Bio

Meh, I lost interest in the movies when they changed the love interest around so that instead of kicking him in the nuts when she found out he wasn't gay to fucking him on the spot. Whatever the real reason, It just stank of Hollywood forcing a love interest on everything and that scene is where the show jumped the shark for me. It became exponentially uninteresting past that point for me.

#84 Posted by Druid (104 posts) - - Show Bio

I think Red Mist was way more enjoyable in the comic.  Mintz-Plasse will always be McLovin' and there's nothing he can do about it. Having him play Red Mist just made me laugh.

True enough. All their names are simple and to the point. Still, hearing something like "The Mother Fucker is on the loose again!" just doesn't really run chills up your spine. It just sounds like an unedited episode of COPS to me.
#86 Posted by HarlequinKiss (441 posts) - - Show Bio

Not so sure I like the name motherfucker. I mean, I get the idea that he's taking his dad's place... In more ways than one.

#87 Posted by UnsolvedParadox (262 posts) - - Show Bio

Red Mist is a great name, the new suggestion is terrible. I hope that was a joke...

#88 Posted by JayUK (101 posts) - - Show Bio

Guys. Seriously. Chill a little. It's just a name. It won't make Kick-ass 2 any better or worse. It doesn't make Mark Millar the anti-christ.

#89 Posted by Crom-Cruach (8810 posts) - - Show Bio

Well, kick-ass had potential, looks like they wasted it.

#90 Posted by teewillis1981 (123 posts) - - Show Bio

I love it LOL It will be a huge success. What better villain name than MoFo?

#91 Posted by texasdeathmatch (13171 posts) - - Show Bio

Haha thats hilarious. He's probably so sick of frat kids calling him McLovin.

#92 Posted by Eyz (3095 posts) - - Show Bio

I wouldn't expect any other name, from MArk Millar specialy XD
Let's hope he keeps Kickass 2 coming in, without too much delays and breaks....

It's Mark Millar. He'll find a way to make it awesome.

@ReverseNegative: eh, I'm very critical of movies so I'm not holding my breath. And my instincts are except in the rarest circumstances, spot on about if a movie is going to be bad or not.
