Mark Millar Says Red Mist Goes Very Dark in Kick-Ass 2
It sounds good but his new name is ridiculous. I hate the swearing in Kick ass the comic there was just so much of it and the reason Mark Millar puts it in is he thinks it is all realistic. I could handle the violence and other things but the swearing and profanity just got on my nerves after a while and now they are naming the villain MoFo. That being said aside from all the profanity I really loved KickAss the comic and the movie so the fact that they are making Red Mist a really good villain is pretty cool.
Wow, I cannot believe that's the name they chose to go with.
Wait, it's Millar, yes I can. The crass idiot.
" did almost all of you completely misunderstand the point of Kick-Ass? it was written to satirize the stereotypical comic book world, where heroes are good role models and have self control. i think it's safe to say that in this day and age, if superheroes actually existed, it would be just as bloody, gory, and graphic as Millar wrote in Kick-Ass, which is exactly the point he was trying to make, that in actuality, the comic book world probably isn't how things would actually work "Actually the point of Kick-Ass was to make money from an exploitation style story that could easily translate into film in order to make Millar famous and rich. Don't get me wrong, it's a good story; but there was nothing resembling a high-concept in it. It was exploitation, pure and simple. The same can be said for all of his creator-owned stuff.
I think his new name fits well when compared to that of his nemesis but I think McLovin will stick WWAAYYYY better.
So if MoFo is the Joker, does he get a Harley Quinn, or a few of them?
1st guy: "Who's that with MoFo?"
2nd guy: "That's one of his girls, ain't it? Totally twisted chick. Dang, what's he call 'em...?"
3rd guy, just walking up: "Yo, aint that a Bitch?"
That's right: MoFo and his Bitches. What crud.
Although, if he's going to be called "Motherf***er," a more obvious name for his Harley would be "MILF."
It seems like 90% of people typing in this comment box and hating the name without a reason forgets the whole point of Kick Ass. Yes, it is funny, yes it is ridiculous. BECAUSE IT WAS MEANT TO BE! Sigh.
It's like complaining there's too much gore and boobies in Piranha 3d. lol.
So after this people will refer to Christopher Mintz-Plasse as "Mofo Mclovin"?
There will be Kick Ass 2 ?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

" @Avengers_4everXX said:I'd say you're both alittle bit right." did almost all of you completely misunderstand the point of Kick-Ass? it was written to satirize the stereotypical comic book world, where heroes are good role models and have self control. i think it's safe to say that in this day and age, if superheroes actually existed, it would be just as bloody, gory, and graphic as Millar wrote in Kick-Ass, which is exactly the point he was trying to make, that in actuality, the comic book world probably isn't how things would actually work "Actually the point of Kick-Ass was to make money from an exploitation style story that could easily translate into film in order to make Millar famous and rich. Guy like Millar and Ennis go a bit far at times but I like it. If someone doesn't they don't have to read it :)
I don't like that Kick-Ass felt like a Batman re-image. Big Daddy like Batman, Kick-Ass like Dick Grayson, Red Miss - Jason Todd, Hit-Girl - Robin, etc.
If Red Miss is like Jason Todd... sure make him a confused bad guy who thinks he is a good guy and then make him an important Villain.
Millar has talent, he was Grant Morrison's understudy for many years... but Millar is trying so hard to become super famous, he is starting to look like a Hack and becoming extremely overrated.
I love it. The Motherfucker. It's blunt straight to the point and ghetto. i wouldn't want to be called McLovin either. I really like the new name. I love and the fact that The Mofo is gunna be a million times worse the Heath Ledgers Joker is awesome finally a villain to be proud of.
I dont think Mintz-Plasse can pull it off, i mean he doesnt have the skill to make Ledger's Joker look like Romero's Joker.
....whatever. I honestly dont care what happens to this film. They ruined this fanchise for me when they changed the ending of the first one and it was still goood. I'll go see 2, and i hope its good, but it no longer has the excitement factor of the other comic movies that have something i can compare it to.
Meh, I lost interest in the movies when they changed the love interest around so that instead of kicking him in the nuts when she found out he wasn't gay to fucking him on the spot. Whatever the real reason, It just stank of Hollywood forcing a love interest on everything and that scene is where the show jumped the shark for me. It became exponentially uninteresting past that point for me.
" that's a stupid name, but all of their names aren't that good and i guess thats the point "True enough. All their names are simple and to the point. Still, hearing something like "The Mother Fucker is on the loose again!" just doesn't really run chills up your spine. It just sounds like an unedited episode of COPS to me.
Not so sure I like the name motherfucker. I mean, I get the idea that he's taking his dad's place... In more ways than one.
" @ReverseNegative: The premise presented here sounds kind of boring to me. "It's Mark Millar. He'll find a way to make it awesome.
