    Seventh Volume of The Punisher MAX. By Garth Ennis and Leandro Fernanadez.

    Story

    When taking out a gang of drug dealers Frank learns that the Russians have a bounty on him. He then learns that Kathryn O'Brien had been captured in Afghanistan and decides to help her. Frank goes to Afghanistan and meets O'Brien. Punisher and Kathryn are then captured by Nikolai Zakharov who interrogate them on a helicopter. There they find out that Zakharov was able to find them through information he received from Rawlins. The Punisher and Kathryn break free and fight back. During the fight the helicopter crashes but Frank and Kathryn manage to use a parachute to escape before impact. On the ground Kathryn steps on a landmine and dies. Frank later finds Zakharov still alive but paralyzed from the helicopter crash and crushes his skull with a rock. Punisher then tracks down Rawlins and kills him.

    Frank Castle aka the Punisher sets up his own capture in order to infiltrate and destroy a crack operation. He learns that the Russians have put a bounty on his head and he intends to retaliate. On the other side of the Earth, an old enemy strikes a bargain with a Russian general Castle angered. This begins a confrontation between the two as they seek to trap and kill each other. -summaryI wasn't too fond of the previous volume simply because it partially abandoned the extremely dark personality...
