Super-gangster Nicky Cavella is back with a vengeance. This time, he'll hit Frank Castle where he least expects it: right in the black pit of his hardened heart.

In the first installment of Up is Down, Black is White, Frank is subject to a new kind of warfare; Psychological. There aren't many people out there who can play mind games with the Punisher, and get anywhere with it. But, when Nicolas Cavella defiles his families grave, Cavella becomes two things; The first man to ever succeed in playing mind games with the Punisher, and, of course, the last person to ever attempt to play mind games with the Punisher, but of course, the latter doesn't occur until issue six.

Haunting artwork, as per usual, gives this entire volume it's flavor, it's flavor being the bad taste the evil Nicolas Cavella leaves in your mouth. Also, the writing is done very well also, considering that this is for the most part new territory. The Punisher is nearly always in the driver seat. But not this time. No, this time, The Punisher is being played upon, preyed upon, even. The most mesmerizing frame in this entire issue is the final one, in which Frank sits, with his hands clenched in...
