    She curses, she smokes, she breast-feeds and she blows away the competition. Just when you think Garth Ennis has gone too far, just when you thought it was safe to walk the streets, just when you thought no one would go near the idea of the world's first superhero prostitute...here comes The Pro!

    A woman working as a prostitute. She is barely making ends meet when she is suddenly given powers by The Viewer.

    She is the greeted by The League of Honour to join their ranks and help fight crime.

    Her methods are questionable but in the end she does something completely selfless and saves everybody.

    The Inevitable Death of Mainstream Super Hero Comics and Who's Responsible.  The Pro is a one-shot that deals primarily with classic themes of honesty, and what it takes to be a true hero. It's a sweeping, grand "widescreen" tale that packs in wall-to-wall action, a large cast of supporting characters, and artwork by one of the best teams producing comics today. It's also the story of a foul mouthed, ill tempered, cut-rate prostitute that gets super powers.Anyone who hates super hero comic...

    This maybe one of the funniest comic parodies of all time!  Re-imaging DCU characters and adding a whore, only Garth Ennis.   This book has also found itself many reprints because of popularity.  I believe it is 5 reprints as of 2010.  It has also had a new cover each time.  Pros: FunnyShortGreat art by Amanda ConnerCheap in cost.  1st printing cost $6 MSRP* Garth Ennis writing Cons: *(Or this) weak overall story, driven by Garth Ennis' need to go over the top. It is a fun read, but in comicvine...

    ***Full SPOILERS, but it’s been sixteen years***I like parody. I like crude humor at times- mostly the kind where you snicker and move on. Sustained, long-form crude jokes (that’s what she called it anyway) are not really my cup of tea. And Garth Ennis, as much as I liked Hitman, is not often for me either. He’s one of a handful of creators that I feel should not be allowed to publish creator-owned work. Not in the name of censorship, just… well, he’s gross…...
