Can Moonstone Actually Kill Off Diana?

    Checkmate Part One of Five

The Phantom and what seems like all of his Moonstone - issued enemies return for their revenge.

Tragedy strikes as the Phantom's wife Diana seems to have been killed. I don't believe that for a second but you never know. Moonstone has been weaving in current events to the Phantom storylines and heck, I doubt King Features who own the Phantom characters would allow it but hey, it could happen.

Checkmate is a five parter and it looks like Moonstone is throwing everything into it, EVERY character I think that has been in this run seems to be tied to an evil plot against the Phantom, and Africa as a whole.

The writers are really bringing in terrorism s an enemy in this series. We have seen it in previous issues, but here, with suicide bombers, blown up airplanes and the like, it is in full force.

A pretty good opening for this story, I'll believe the death of Diana Palmer when I see it though. Not that I wouldn't think it would be cool and create an entirely, unprecedented Phantom series, but I just don't think that is going to happen anytime soon.
