I did like the new Outsider. The old Outsider--Alfred gone evil--sounds silly.

@entropy_aegis: I hope you haven't read the Judd Winick Black Mask stuff, because that black mask blows the Outsider out of the water. Also, I was less than impressed with his ill-defined power set and the deus ex machina wins he pulled out to jobbing heavy hitters like Black Adam and J'onn J'onzz.

There was certainly potential in the character, but the execution largely left me cold.

I think apart from the crazy plot devices he was still a great character who showed more depth in 3 issues than Black Mask ever did.Yes I have read Winicks Black Mask,he was a blundering idiot who got owned by Jason and was bullied by Deathstroke.

Agree with this thread. Desai was one of the better parts of Flashpoint as a whole. He should be a power player.

I think Michael Desai of India should make a great leader of the Global Guardians.

He's a villain and that's what partly made him interesting. He would not fit in the Global Guardians.

The Global Guardians need not be a United Nations approved group. The United Nations can have JLI.

@colonyofcells: @fodigg: I liked this version of the Outsider as well and I would like to see Michael Desai return. I think he did have a ton of potential as a villain and would like to see more of him. I would also like to see more of his powers explored. While I didn't like the way he defeated the likes of Isis, Black Adam, and Martian Manhunter, I still think that with a little more character development, he would make for a great villain.
