Starts Slow, Ends with a Great Cliffhanger
Plot: I won't give to much away at the risk of spoiling anything so I'll just say the book focuses on a girl named Autumn. Cover: The cover is truely a fantastic one, the lettering is so very simple but I can't help but think how truely awesome it is. The artist reminds a bit of Fiona Staples. However I do have a problem with it, despite looking great it(along with the title) has very litte do with the premise(atleast so far). Art: As I previousley stated the art is really nice here it's very liney. The book's colors(or lack of) is pretty interesting as it's mostly black, white, and blue and it works great here. Diologue: I don't always make a section to discuss diologue but this book surely needed one. It's got some very nice bits of diologue and monologue. It feels realistic, and you truely get the vibe that Autumn isn't all that happy with her life. Story: The story has some flaws. First I feel this book would benefit from a longer page count. I feel like outside the last two pages we really don't get a story. Or atleast a portion of one . The last two pages while fantastic are a bit predictable. The premise(once you get to it) is very interesting. The protagonist is a character you'll find you're self rooting for. Overall: To sum it all up the book starts slow but ultimatley ends with a satisfying cliffhanger. I wish I could give the book a higher score than a 3.5 because the potential is there for this to be a really great book and it would be had it been a bit longer. I say pick it up , but I also say wait till the second issue to do it or wait to read them back to back so you can get a full opinion on the book itself. Overall out of Ten: 7.0/10
