After finding a ring of magical tree portals, Jack Skellington is transported to the lovely world of Christmas Town where he becomes smitten with the idea that not everything must be gruesome and scary. He returns to Halloween town with a vision of adopting some Yule traditions, but is having a hard time explaining the real meaning of Christmas to the villagers. Meanwhile, the real villain of Halloween Town, Oogie Boogie, catches on to Jack's plan and devises one of his own. One that could destroy Christmas forever.
