    Gifts of Life

This is an outstanding display of captivating, warm and singular narrative about everyday and big decision´s life, about adjustments, dealing with fears and frustrations and, most importantly, moving on with life. Wolfman did a magnificent job (just like he did in the Judas Contract Book 1 in Tales of the Teen Titans # 42) by creating dialogues and putting the characters under circunstances that boarders commom life, still leaving room for the extraordinaire stuff that happens with super heroes. In the beginning of this issue I was a little afraid that it would be just a filler, a bridge between the last arc story "Who is Wonder Girl" and the next, since there were scenes with the characters of the last arc, but Marv swiftly changed the vibe by inserting the tragic news of the death of Jason Todd, what instantly put Dick in a state of mind that shifted the way this issue went throught. The experience of Dick confronting his fear, of Cyborg facing a new reconstruction, of Donna embracing her past, becoming a new person, of Garth having to deal with more serious matters, all those things balanced with Joey´s romances and Kory´s sidekicking launched this issue to the extratosphere, impulsed by the spectacular art of George Perez, who were very much inspired in this issue. This is a highly recommended issue for those who enjoys super heroes comic books that deals with the aspects in the heroes lifes that doesn´t involve saving the world, but changing themselves. Great read!
