All of the mutant powers floating around Earth come down all at once on a postal worker in North Pole, Alaska.
His clothes shed from his body as he lights himself aflame, and he begins walking towards New York from Alaska.
He comes in contact with Alpha Flight, decimating them with the powers of nearly all the mutants that existed.
S.H.E.L.D. notifies the New Avengers.
Also contains a New Universe backup story featuring Kickers Inc.
