Plot Summary
It was bound to happen and now it has. The Hood loses his grip on the colorful criminals that make his empire. It's a super-villian turf war and guess who is stuck in the middle? That's right... the powerless New Avengers. Not to mention the powerless Dark Avengers (who guest star, btw.) Who will replace the Hood as Kingpin of criminals??
The comic kicks off where #56 ended, with the New Avengers and Dark Avengers being drained of their abilities by a "power drainer" used by Doctor Harrow. The Hood's Gang now without the Hood asks for a deal with Norman..basically to work for him and he complies because of the situation. Horrow gives the Dark Avengers their powers back but leaves the New Avengers to die or be arrested by the Dark Avengers.Mockingbird comes with the Jet to rescue them,some more injured than others. On the way into the jet...Spider-Man decides to go at Norman Osborn who gave chase taking him out of commission so they could get away. Apparently upon losing his powers Cage suffered a cardiac defect and will die soon if he doesn't get his powers back. The New Avengers take him to Night Nurse but she cannot help him so when the Dark Avengers come to arrest them, Cage gives himself up hoping Norman will cure him of his ailment and the New Avengers escape.

It seems that New Avengers continues to be my favorite team during this Dark Reign Period, It seems every comic is just a complete blast! It seems every time Bendis picks up a pen and paper magic seems to flow unto the page, the interaction between this characters of this team is just awesome! I always wondered how all these Super-Stars would work in one book, but this has working soo far due to the genius of Bendis. I give this comic 4.8 out of 5. 1: I Love the New Avengers, 2: I greatly respect Bendis' work 3: it's just a blast through and through
